چکیده

Abstract In recent years, the damages resulting from abnormal hydrometeorological climate have substantially increased over world due to variability and change. Especially, flood damage has been severely occurred during season almost every year in Korea. For an example, we had localized heavy rainfalls for 54 days of 2020 huge property loss life. Therefore, study needs be conducted improve predictive power seasonal time-scale forecasts spanning one several months reduction prevention. this regard, aims provide a priori predictions (several ahead) variable at target sites with statistical method based on teleconnection global climatic conditions. Herein, paradigm temperature precipitation prediction Geum river basin Korea is presented. The purposes are also (1) analyse characteristics summer temperatures according occurrence El Niño/La Niña (2) suggest model that can consider effects Niño La season. constructed by classifying data period into Niño, Niña, neutral status. Then shown improves variables such as mid-latitude stations which located. demonstrates possibility improving forecasting considering variability.

Functional Modeling of Iranian Precipitation Based on Temperature and Humidity

Functional Data Analysis (FDA) has recently made considerable progress because of easier access to the data that are essentially in the form of curves. Modeling of Iranian precipitation based on temperature and humidity with continuous the essential nature of such phenomena that are continuous functions of time has not been done properly. The corresponding data are generally collected daily or ...

On the El-Niño Teleconnection to Spring Precipitation in Europe

Abstract In a statisti al analysis of more than a entury of data we nd a strong onne tion between strong warm El Ni~ no winter events and high spring pre ipitation in a band from Southern England eastwards into Asia. This relationship is an extension of the onne tion mentioned by Kiladis and Diaz (1989), and mu h stronger than the winter season tele onne tion that has been the subje t of other ...

Historical changes of temperature and vapor pressure deficit during the crop growing season in Iran

Climate change variables have rarely been analyzed specifically for the growing season of crops. In this study, changes in minimum (Tmin) and maximum temperature (Tmax), daily maximum saturated vapor pressure (VPsat) and estimated daily VPD weighted for transpiration (VPDtran) were examined at five locations in Iran over 40 years during the growing seasons of chickpea and maize. The results of ...

An Atmospheric Teleconnection Linking ENSO and Southwestern European Precipitation

Numerous studies have demonstrated statistical associations between the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and precipitation in the Mediterranean basin. The dynamical bases for these teleconnections have yet to be fully identified. Here, observational analyses and model simulations are used to show how ENSO variability affects rainfall over southwestern Europe (Iberia, Southern France, and Ita...

On the spatial and temporal variability of ENSO precipitation and drought teleconnection in mainland Southeast Asia

The variability of the hydroclimate over mainland Southeast Asia is strongly influenced by the El Niño– Southern Oscillation (ENSO), which has been linked to severe droughts and floods that profoundly influence human societies and ecosystems alike. Although the significance of ENSO is well understood, there are still limitations in the understanding of its effects on hydroclimate, particularly ...
